OK, admin PLEASE leave this in General for a while so people see it and hopefully respond. Having your post moved to Tech before people have seen ans responded to it is like being exiled..LOL :) Repost from earlier: I rounded off one of the 14mm nuts that hold the inner front upper control arm mount to the fenderwell.(inboard bracket control arm mounts to) It is the most aft, lower 14mm nut on the passenger side. I tried *everything*, penetrating oils, heated with a torch, beat with a hammer, impact gun(which finally did it in). Now it is good and rounded off...DAMN. So, anyone have any suggestions? Looks too tight to get a nut splitter in there because of the inner mount. Tried Vice-grips after it got rounded off, but there is no room to get any leverage on them. It looks like the two 14mm studs are connected by a bracket inside on the inner(engine side) of the fenderwell, but I can't tell if trying to remove it that way will help. Maybe if I clamp a Vicegrip on the nut and try to get my 1/2" drive ratchet down on the back of one of the nuts on the inner bracket? Looks really tight, like I will have to pull stuff off the car to even get to teh inboard nuts, let alone much room to get decent leverage on it. I can't really tell how the two 14mm nuts are mounted to the inner bracket, anyone know? So, if anyone has any insight here I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Mike
